Job Description
We are looking for a restaurant server to join our team. This individual will take and deliver orders in a timely manner to our guests. The server will be a hard working, customer service oriented individual working in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Ensure that the dining room is in order and all tables are set at the beginning of shift and throughout the day.
- Present food and drink menus to guests.
- Answer questions or make recommendations for food and drinks.
- Communicate with kitchen staff on any guests orders with dietary restrictions/allergies.
- Work alongside other servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
- Issue bills, accept payments, handle cash and credit cards.
- Anticipate, identify and correct system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
- Communicate with the food and beverage department management and coworkers regarding product/service deficiencies equipment, safety problems, etc.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience serving or waitering in a restaurant environment.
- Hands-on experience working with a point of sale system and handling cash.
- Excellent people skills and a customer-oriented attitude
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English to understand instructions, safety rules, and communicate with guests.
- Work schedules will include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
