Job Description
The Cook I will be responsible for preparing the menu following the established recipes and guidelines set by the organization, process customer orders in a timely manner, and adjust the menu items according to customer requests. This individual follows all guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. They will maintain a clean and orderly work station. Additional responsibilities include preparing food each day and washing dishes each shift. This is an entry level position requiring 0-1 years of experience.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh and cooked to meet guidelines/regulations for food safety.
- Follow recipes for all menu items
- Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times
- Prepare food each day for that shift as well as the next day’s shift
- Accommodate guests special requests in regards to dietary or preference needs
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grill, fryer, oven, etc.
- Maintain an open and clear line of communication with FOH staff and management.
Qualifications:
- 0-1 years of prior experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time throughout your shift
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating and working with other cooks to prepare orders
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
