Job Description

Snow King Mountain Resort is looking for Ski Patrollers who are dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of mountain operations in regards to ensuring all guests on the mountain are kept safe.  The position requires a high level of fitness, expert skiing ability, and first aid training.

Responsibilities (But not limited to)

  • Promote safety and provide exceptional customer service
  • Provide emergency care and transport for guests and employees
  • Contribute to the daily operations of Ski Patrol and the Resort
  • Perform lift evacuation procedures and other rescue operations
  • Assist in avalanche reduction measures and other snow safety related duties

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have expert skiing skills and equipment
  • The ability to hike and ski in steep, exposed terrain
  • Strong communication and guest relation skills
  • The ability to work well with others
  • Basic understanding of avalanches and avalanche terrain
  • Basic understanding of ski resort operations
  • Ensure the highest standard of safety is maintained throughout the Resort
  • Demonstrate hazard awareness and the ability to relate it to risk reduction
  • Maintain signage, tower pads, rope lines, and other risk reduction strategies
  • The ability to follow all procedures set forth by Ski Patrol and Snow King Mountain Resort
