The World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb runs from Thursday, March 2oth – Sunday March 23rd. The first two days of the event are qualifying runs for the next two days where racers get the opportunity to attempt climbing to the summit of the mountain. Saturday is always the busiest day on the mountain and at the base for spectators. If you aren’t familiar with the Hill Climb check out this video. This is one of the most spectacular motor racing events in the world and you don’t want to miss checking it out.
While you can see the show from the base area on the Jumbotron, the very best views of the action are up on the mountain. You can ride the Snow King gondola to the summit and hike down to get the best view. Make sure you wear good boots, warm snow pants and jackets, and gloves if you choose to hike down the mountain.

When weather permits, a solar telescope will be available at any time upstairs on the Observing Deck. In the Classroom Theater, science and space shows will play whenever a presentation is not taking place in that room.
Watching a planetarium show, listening to a talk (Science On a Sphere or Classroom Theater), and going up to the observing deck is about a 90-minute experience–but you are welcome to stay for the entirety of our daytime operating hours. There are different experiences every hour!
