Job description

Snow King Mountain Resort is the iconic Mountain Resort located in the heart of beautiful Jackson Hole, WY. As a dual seasonal facility, it is home to many summer and winter family friendly attractions. The Snow King Team is looking for people with a love for the outdoors, a desire to learn, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Specialist to join our team. This role is hands-on and diverse, requiring both technical expertise and strong communication skills. You’ll be the primary onsite support for staff, ensuring smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and working directly with software/hardware vendors and external support teams. This position involves both indoor and outdoor projects, making it a great fit for someone comfortable working in various environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite IT support for staff, troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues.
  • Maintain and optimize our local area network (LAN), ensuring stability and performance.
  • Oversee and support IT hardware, including:
    • RFID ski gates
    • 70+ IP cameras
    • 50+ computers
    • Season pass printers, weather stations, point-of-sale machines, etc
  • Act as the primary point of contact for software and hardware vendors, as well as external IT support providers.
  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of systems.
  • Assist with computer networking tasks such as installation of new hardware or event setup, some low voltage electrical
  • Support basic cybersecurity and data loss prevention best practices to protect systems and data.
  • Work outdoors as needed for maintenance and troubleshooting of outdoor IT equipment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong computer troubleshooting skills and experience resolving hardware/software issues.
  • Experience with computer networking (VLANS, device connectivity, topology, low volt).
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to liaise effectively with coworkers and external support teams to help coordinate effective solutions.
  • Comfortable working outdoors when required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
