Job Description

The Human Resources Manager will play a key role in overseeing the people involved in Snow King Mountain. This role will be responsible for guiding employee relations, recruiting talent, and overseeing safety initiatives. Working closely with the CFO & General Manager, the Human Resources Manager will provide support to all departments on the mountain engaging in recruiting, on-boarding, and transitioning new employees into the mountain workforce each season.

 

Responsibilities (But not limited to):

  • Contributes in developing employee relations, employee engagement and an effective work structure and environment.
  • Organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs.
  • Oversee recruiting and outreach functions on a variety of platforms including local listings, Indeed, CoolWorks, and LinkedIn.
  • Posts job openings, screen resumes, and conduct initial interviews with all applicants.
  • Manage recruitment of J1 Visa employees for both summer and winter seasons including interviewing candidates, working with sponsor agencies, and providing support to employees throughout the duration of working in the US.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits, open enrollment, and managing all benefit components throughout the year.
  • Administer HR functions including but not limited to maintaining personnel files, and preparing, organizing, compiling, and updating HR databases and reports.
  • May administer, implement and coordinate HR-related programs, such as service awards, special recognition, safety awards, location newsletters, etc.
  • Manage all workers compensation claims, OSHA recordkeeping, and other related recordkeeping.
  • Assist in processing payroll transactions on a biweekly basis.
  • Participation in cooperative strategy and initiatives.
  • Be a team player and at times help in each department and for special events to help make operations successful.
  • Other duties may be determined by the General Manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Prior management experience required
  • Five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Experience with Paycom or other payroll software preferred
  • People-oriented personality
