PRESS RELEASE: Snow King Mountain Resort announces Locals Appreciation Day

Things to do in Jackson Hole

August 25, 2015

For Immediate Release
Jackson WY (August 25, 2015) – Snow King Mountain Resort (SKMR) will host a special “Locals Appreciation Day” event on Saturday August 29th. From 10am-6pm Teton County locals can ride the Alpine Slide for $9.69, and kids ages 2-6 can ride free with an adult.
The event will feature free Snake River beer from 2-4pm, classic cowboy tunes with local musician John Sidle, and a special appearance by Mark “Fish” Fishman from KMTN 96.9 the Mountain.
SKMR General Manager Ryan Stanley is looking forward to giving locals a chance to ride the new Rafferty lift and check out the mountain coaster. “It’s been a busy summer and we’re really proud to share the hard work the crew has done. The future is looking bright for the King.”
The event will be a convenient way for locals to get a closer look at all the improvements underway including the Mountain Coaster, scheduled to open this fall, the two new base lodge buildings opening this winter, and the Treetop Adventure park on track to open Spring 2016. Guests will also ride the new Rafferty lift, which doubles the uphill capacity of the old lift, and extends further up the mountain to access two new intermediate ski runs.
Tickets are available at the new Snow King Mountain Sports, located in the Snow King Hotel under Haydens Post.
